Leaves yellowing and curling up

Hey Guys, These seedling are about a week old now. Everything was going great but then a few started getting yellow spots on their leaves. Some are also starting to have their leaves curl up. I was wondering if you guys could have any ideas as to why this could be. I am using FFOF soil and think PH is ok. (need to get a better ph reader soon) They are under 2 600w MH bulbs now. Humidity also has been a problem (30%) A humidifier hasn't seemed to help that at all. Any input on why the leaves are developing yellow spots/ curling up would be extremely helpful! . Thanks and hopefully I'll have some pics up a little later today.

Re: Leaves yellowing and curling up

Any pics?
What type of water?
Ph run off test would be a good idea.
How far away is your light?
Bagseed?
Nutes given?
Some people have been claiming just recently that FFOF has burned their little ones, but I am not convinced its the FFOF causing the problem. Try to give us more info.
Also, moving this thread to sick plants and problems category, youll get a better response and it belongs there.

Re: Leaves yellowing and curling up

I have been using Distilled water, checking the PH with a cheap Aquarium tester and seems to be fine. The lights are just under two feet away from the little guys. No nutes yet because I heard they wouldn't need it for the first two weeks with FFOF? Also I have 4 White Widow, 1 Himalayan Gold, 3 Super Silver Haze and 6 Big bud. Thank you

The curl is from heat issues.

Re: Leaves yellowing and curling up

Temps are averaging between 74-77 F. Do you think the lights are too low? Thanks for the response!

Well on paper the temps are not too high but, in actuallity they are a bit high for the plants. If the CFL's are 1-3 inches above the tops just leave them or maybe back it off to 3-4 inches away.

Re: Leaves yellowing and curling up

They are actually under 2 600 w MH bulbs. About 2 ft. away, I'll try backing them away another 6 inches and see what happens. Any suggestions on a good PH reader on ebay? Thanks a lot man

It's not a big deal yet. Providing your pH is OK [which we don't know for sure], It might be from the Nutes in the soil. Sometimes even FFOF can be hurtfull to babies. Lets wait and see if it progresses.

Re: Leaves yellowing and curling up

Thanks a lot for all the help SmknVTEC. They were all transplanted into 1 gallon pots and are doing great. I raised the light in hopes of fixing the curling leaf problem. The humidity is on the rise and PH seems to be good. I'll hopefully have some updated shots as the babies grow. Thanks again man
