Brown/Dead Leaf Tips??

Hi I am growing a Cheese plant from a clone, It is under a 8 tube 430watt floresent, 6inchs from light. 2-2.5 gallon pot with Miracle grow potting mix. Have had for 3.5 weeks, 14inch tall, 17inchs wide. I have watered it a couple times with Roots Organic nutes. I want to switch to a better nute and start PH testing but im low on cash.

Any way its got brown tips on some of the lower leafes? Just a very small part of the tip is brown and dead? what might cause this problem??

uhh read the package the soil came in it says feeds for 3 months so when you added your own nutes it burned the plant..

so to answer your question its nute burn...

next time you buy soil make sure it dosen't have any time released ferts infact dont ever use time release ferts ever

Miracle Grow makes an organic soil that works just fine but you'll have to add your own perlite and peatmoss ... or you can buy any organic soil and it shouldn't have any time release ferts...

so when you buy soil if it says feeds for up to ___ months dont buy it

water your plant with regular water until new growth grows green and your plant should be fine
