Some simple things that are worrying me

What type of medium; soil or hydro?
-DWC Bubble Bucket
Indoors or outdoors?
-Indoors
What strain?
-Some good bagseeds
How old are the plants?
-3 weeks old from sprout
What type of lights and how many watts?
-6500k Daylight Cfls 182 watts with a 45 watt Soft White CFL
How far from the lights?
-4-5 Inches from the top of plant
What, how much and when was it fed? NPK?
-1/4 nutes and 1 tsp of cal mag
What is the medium/runoff pH?
-5.7ph
What are the temps and humidity in the room?
-82 degrees and 46 RH (humidity)
What size pots?
-DWC 5 gallon bucket with 6 inch net put.
Any bugs? Look real close.
-None!


Well my plant seems to be drastically moving towards the light when it is only 2 inches from the side of the light. I am worried about this and just keep spinning the lid of the bucket so it pulls it back the other way. Could this be using alot of my plants strength with this constant swaying back and forth. Not sure any ideas??? This is the pic of it.
Also my plant seems kind of droopy to me?? Also the last pic is to show you home much the light is from the exact top of the plant. Its around 2-3 inches left from the top.






Also these are my bottom leaves. One day the pH spiked up to about 6.5-7 and i lowered it right away but it had that high of a pH probably for 6 hours or so. Would that cause that much damage to these leaves like this.

Your lamp should be above the plant, if you don't have the height then you need to tie it down while your plant is still young and pliable., check out some of the training methods in the forum.

The pH scale is logarithmic, if the pH raises from 5.5 to 6.5 then the water is 10 times more alkaline, if it goes up to 7.5 then it's 100 times more alkaline than 5.5. 8.5 is 1000 times more alkaline.

Will that cause problems, ?? I sure do think so.

Well my cab is 5 ft tall and i still got about 3 1/2 feet still but the thing is that my light fixture isnt wide enough. It was home made by a piece of round steal, piece of a 2x4, outlet strip, and some light sockets with Y splitters that just plug straight into the outlet strip. So changing my light fixture is almost out the question and theres no room with my soil plant to move it right under the light. So ultimately i am more concerned is that bend back and forth going to affect the plant greatly or just strengthen the stem over time and most likely stunting a little bit of growth down the road. And on the PH note I know the pH spike killed those leaves but hopefully i can get everything under control. Had to be at work at 7:30 this morning so i havent got a chance today to test. I will on my lunch tho....:-D ANY OTHER OPINIONS/REPLIES????

1. Also if you look at the bottom leaves on some of the pics the leaves are sort of spinning around not sure whats causing that?

2. Should i clip those leaves completely off or should i leave them until they are dry enough to crumble?

3. How does the overall plant look for only me 3 weeks old exactly??

And another thing. Is it too droopy???? It looks very droopy to me and i am not sure if its just because the leaves are heavy or its just weak???????

When I look at the leaves and stems they look like they are soft instead of stiff, there is definitely a missing element here responsible to make your plant stiffer and I'd say it's wind. just my thoughts.

Well i clipped those dead leaves off last night and no way bluesky my stem is stiffer than shit, but the leaves are soft but still stiff somewhat. My soil plant that was next to it but died last night because i am an idiot and dont know how to transfer but thats on another note ANYWAYS....... I moved the plant so it is directly under the lights so that crazy stem bending is no longer going to happen. Also i was wondering should i top this little guy???? Hes about 4-5 inches tall now and bushier than ever. I kind of want to but i also dont want to stunt the growth since its my first real grow ever i am just kinda waiting before i top anything. Whats everyones opinion?
