Weird growth on this plant.

This plant has been growing over 7 days and this is what it looks like. I don't have the cabinet setup yet so the plant is simply under about 150w of fluros in my closet.

Temps are 77-81 F with 35-43% humidity depending on the day. Not using any nutrients and the soil is comprised of vermaculite and perlite with regular dirt.

Watering the plant about every 3 days.

What I am wondering about is you can see the curling happening on the top two leaves and the nodes are not spacing apart as the plants in my last grow did.

Is it because of the light leakage happening from lack of an enclosed space or is it something else?

Thanks in advance

Re: Weird growth on this plant.

Nope, the first soil I used was Miracle Grow Moisture Control + verm + perl and that worked out great.

I bought this new soil because it specifically said it did not have time-released nutrients... should I buy new soil and transplant?

Flush the pots through with water and see how it goes.

Just one Q. how long did it take to get this bad ?

Re: Weird growth on this plant.

It has pretty much been like this since it sprouted. It didn't look right from the get-go.

Do you guys think a transplant into new soil would be successful? The pots they are in right now aren't very big.. but I'm worried about the old soil sticking to the roots and the problems continuing.
