Plant getting very sick

Hi guys sorry to take your time but a little help would be very appreciated.

Strain: Bag seed
Medium: potting mix all purpose
PH: unknown at the moment

I first thought it was due to over watering and left it for five days to no avail. I have 11 other seedlings not so big but are very green and vibrant, at the moment.

Any help would very appreciated Thank you

Does look like over watering to me, major lack of oxygen in the root zone. You do have plenty of holes in the bottom of them cups don't you?

Also might need potting on.

i was thinking the exact same thing, when i saw they were in cups. put 3 small holes in the bottom of the cup for drainage purposes, if your soil is thicker, heavier stuff, more holes might be necessary,

I have at least five holes in the bottom, max11, i watered today till water drained out the bottom. My dad said may be due to under watereing. do you think i should transplant? i was goging to wait till at least three to four nodes. If you would like to see the others let me know. Thanks for all your interest. Also the potting mix is very airrated, if thats how you spell it

Re: Plant getting very sick

I also kind of think it looks like overwatering. Underwatering I don't think you would see those brown spots. How often have you been watering? Try adding 2.5 tsp/gallon %3 hydrogen peroxide before watering.

Aerated is the word And how much is "very"? Because it does look a bit soggy from the pics. You should only water when the top 3/4 inch of soil feels dry.

Best of luck

Re: Plant getting very sick

It probably looks a tad over watered due to a nice water before the pics. As stated in my original post it had been at least five days between last watering, before that i had only been misting here and there, soaking the top, not all the way through. I think the brown spots are from water been on the leaves while the sun was out and burning them. I'm more concerned about the yellowing and the dropping. Thanks for the correction ha. Very i mean it feels bit spongy rather than hard, if that makes seance.

For one, that soil does not look that great, is it peat / wood based. Did it have it's pH rating on the bag anywhere. Ferts of any kind?

If you say they were dry? Hmmm.

The brown spots, clawing and yellowing is indicative of overwatering. But if the pots were dry then can only be a pH or nute problem.

Please see the "Read before posting" sticky and post back a lil more info please.

Re: Plant getting very sick

Thanks max. I do agree prob not the best potting mix, was in a bit of a hurry and was hopping to make it up later when i transplanted. It has plenty of bark/ wood chunks though it, if that helps. I will look at the PH rating and fert rating in the morning its dark now in AU. But for memory it definatly has no PH indicator and as for fert's not to sure prob like most potting mix i would say it does. Can confirm in the morning. Yeah iv done some reading, you should see the other six i have, same deal as this one but in pristine condition. very wierd

Is that the largest of them, any chance of a pic of some the same size in the same shot would be nice.

The pH of the soil could have dropped quite low if the pots went dry, did it start yellowing before the spots came or did they appear after the yellowing.

Any others showing clawing signs? Or just dark patches / small red spots on the leaves.

Anyhow when you can update with the info...

Re: Plant getting very sick

They look like they need to be re potted to a bigger container. Rule of thumb for 1 gallon for every feet in growth.
