i hav a 250 liter tank which supplys water to a 24 pod system, once i hav filled the water in the tank and then tak a reading widout adding nutrient i get a C.F reading of 10 i was told dat it is due to dead salts which the plant doesnt use, i was told to half that sum and then tak it up to a C.F reading of about 12/14 since there only a month old dnt want to over feed them and stress them out is there an easier way to do this, my plants ant stressed and are showing sighns of improvment day by day i think they are commin along nice. sorry i hav a hyrophonic setup wid one 1000watt H.P.S and a 600 watt H.P.S also in the same flowering room. My room tem is around 25c and room humidity is around 45%

Not sure where you get your water from but I'll assume it's tap water. There is a lot of dissolved salts in the water to assist in its purification (Hmmm) by the water company.

+ other chemicals, You can remove some of them to lower the EC before adding nutes but that req filtration.

Whoever told you to HALF the reading was a lil miss informed and you should take the reading as said.

thanx for the advise and dat is wat i did do took the reading as it was and took it up to a reading of 22, 10 of dead salts and 12 of nutrient(Grow A and Grow B 2 part nutrient). i think im on the right track jus hope nuffin goes wrong! first time grower!

22 is quite HIGH. I'd keep it at about 14/16 for young plants under 12 inches. It's easy to add more than to take it away.

Keep the pH at about 5.5 / 5.7. All will be fine.
