What is this yellow thing?

Where the new leaves should be coming through there is a yellow mass either side... what is it?

Cant say Ive ever seen that before, and not being able to have eye sight quality up close, all I can say is just wait and see what it does.

Try taking another picture, possibly macro but not out of focus.

hard to tell from the quality of photo but it looks like those are a deformed set of leaves

probably a genetic thang

carry on as normal and see what happens with the next set

Nope sorry can't see.
Don't worry about it though as long as the plant is growing fine.

I can't really tell but here are some ideas
-Nutrient burn on the next set of leaves.
-Something Genetic
-A pest of some type

Have you tried to see if it's something yellow that fell onto the plant? Is it actually part of the plant?

BTW - soil is looking a bit dry.

its actually on the plant looks like tiny jeremy beadle type leaves.... weird and now two leaves are growing up and all twisted up... its really stunted for day 10 isnt it!

What type of soil?
What is the pH?
It should do fine.
