Re: res problems with algae

only other option is an algaecide/fungicide which I really wouldnt recommend using in a grow unless you can be sure the pots/res are sterilised well afterwards

dump and scrub is the only real option

get a roll of some aluminium tape and tape everything up - the ali tape is the most effective tape for blocking out light

hope that helps

Thumbs up Re: res problems with algae

thanks for your attempt smoke, what i ended up doing was covering my pump with a CLEAN sock over the intake and let the pump run for about an hour. every 15 min i would come and scrub the res with the sock. so the pump was scruber and vaccuum-er. cleared my res right up.

now i think im on my way to a successfull first grow.
