Brown spots on mature calyxes?

I've never seen this before, and was wondering if anyone knows what this is? 47 days from 12/12 switch, soil grow, 50%RH, temps in mid-hi 70s. All of the calyxes running up the main stem (right at the nodes) have these tiny brown specks on them. It looks like little pieces of dirt, but doesn't come off so easy... Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Peace
DM

P.S. sorry for the low-qual pic

Re: Brown spots on mature calyxes?

have you got a macro setting on your camera - might help

could be anything from brown capitate sessile glands to mite eggs to the start of bud rot

Re: Brown spots on mature calyxes?

It's kind of funny... but that WAS on the macro setting. hahaha It's a crappy 3mp, 4xDZ no-name camera, so this is about as good as it gets. I can't get in too close without the whole picture getting "blurry," even on macro mode. Looking around Google and what-not, I'm leaning towards brown capitates as they all appear to be off of the actual calyx, sort of floating on top of the capitate glands. It almost looks like they're burnt/melted when I look real close. I don't have any type of microscope to get a true macro shot, either. Sorry 'bout that.
Also, it's only happening on the calyxes of the lower half of the plant, right at the main stem. Everything else is still pristine. Hopefully this is just a residual effect from a slight overheating that occurred during the first week or two of flowering. Thanks for checkin' it out.
Peace
