What is a fungal infection:
It is a type of fungus in your area in which spores become air born from surrounding infected vegetation and eventually infect your marijuana plant.
How to Identify:
The infection will usually start on the bottom / middle leaves hardly effecting the very top of the plant. The leaves will have rusty brown spots that will spread from the middle vein of the finger leaf. The leaf will eventually turn yellow to brown and then fall off.
What if I don’t resolve it:
The infection will eventually infect your whole plant leaving you with nothing. Battle it as soon as possible to save your plant.
How to remove the infection: 1.If your plant is in a pot and you can move it I highly suggest you get it away from the infected area.
2.Remove all the infected leaves, this is why you must battle it ASAP or you will lose tons of leaves that are required for the plant to absorb the sun.
3.Spray your fungus killer of choice for the first 2 days. Wait one week and spray the fungus killer again and hope the fungus infection dies off. You can always use a different spraying schedule this is just what I was told by my local gardener.
I got this infection in NY, I sprayed the fungus killer just like I said after I pruned off the leaves and moved the plant and the infection never came back. I now have a healthy budding plant.
