powdery mildew

Here is my deal.

I am an outdoor guy. 14 days away from cutting and I have a powdery mildew problem that looks like it is getting very expensive.

I have never ever had this prob before but weather conditions were perfect for it this year I assume.

I dont know what to do about it since I am so close to the finish line.

There are ALOT of girls out there.

Some it is just starting on and some are covered.

My questions are these,

1.Should I destroy the girls that r covered in it?
2.Should I cut and hang the ones that it is only starting on?
3. Will hanging girls with a bit on it threaten EVERYTHING in the hanging room? (This is important for me to know)
4. Since conditions are right and this is happening should I just cut everything since it is starting to rapidly happen?

Re: powdery mildew

Fuckin' PM !!!!!

I have had a bit of battle experience against this nasty little spore ... both indoor and outdoor.

Bad News .... The white fluff is the fruit, which means the actual infection occurred 2 or more weeks ago .... and if its getting some of your plants now it soon will get all of them.

Good News .... With 14 days out you still have a decent shot at minimizing the damage.

There are some decent options for vege and early bloom sprays (Neem or Serenade), but as late in the season as you are really limited in choices.

IMO your best/safest option would be mild spray using diluted Hydrogen Peroxide solution (1tsp of 35% per gallon). This will change the PH on your leaves hopefully killing off the topical spores and washing away some of the white fuzz.

Sorry for your misfortune and good luck in your efforts to stave off disaster.

Re: powdery mildew

I'd give duckhead's solution a try, possibly dilute it a bit more to be safe as you are so close to harvesting.
Hopefully the rest of your ladies aren't infected. good luck!
