Quick Question.

After recently finding out about a friends grow and how horrible its turning out, I took it upon myself to try to fix what he has done.

They're growing under a 1000w Hps , Soil grow useing fox farm nutes and the foxform feeding schedule. They're been flowing for the past couple of weeks and for some reason they haven't flushed ever. I'm betting not flushing has caused some heavy lockout as well as Ph fluxing. Also , of course they are dealing with a Heat issue.

Aside from that I have a couple questions , it seems it would be wise to do a heavy flush and re-feed? Also to retain water they have spread sphagnum peat moss on the tops of the plants. I know most bags of soil have this pre-mixed , but with the amout they are useing I'm not sure if it's contributing to the Ph problems that are already occuring. Does anybody know it useing heavy clumps of peat moss is gonna cause more problems than it's worth? I should flush these babies asap right?

Apparently they were looking really nice just before flowing , I'de like to get them fixed asap as they are nowhere near being ready for harvest.

Re: Quick Question.

That's not really enough information, especially without pics of the plants. While all of the things you described can certainly cause problems, it's probably not wise to diagnose the plants without being able to see them and determine exactly what problems they're having.

That being said, a full flush tends to fix any problems with nutes in the soil, although I wouldn't re-feed immediately. The fox farm feeding schedule may or may not be too strong for these plants, I can't say for sure. Lockout, as far as I know at least, is only caused by pH problems in the soil, not just by having a ton of nutes there (that causes nute burn instead). A flush can help that too, as long as you use pH adjusted water (which you should also try to use for watering too). If the plants are having a heat issue as well, there's nothing to be done other than to find some way to manage the heat and bring the temperature down to an acceptable level. Good luck!

To Growers: The absolute, #1 best thing you can possibly do for your plants is research before you start. Ignoring this is like depriving your plants of light or water-- enough to ruin everything because a vital component is missing.

Re: Quick Question.

Alright , so i've tested the water being used to feed the plants Dead on 6.6 , once nutrients we're added it was down to 6.0 or lower ( small measure Range test kit ) .
Also , Two kinds of sphagnum peat moss we're added. So I soaked each individually , and after a good soak, both tests also 6.0 or below.

All plants have been flushed , and feed. Most likely gonna get some Ph up to counteract the nutes for the following feedings.

This thread was'nt really to diagnose the sickness , just for comments and advice.

K+ BKKG Thank you
