Need some immediate advice

Hey everyone, I am brand new to this, not trying to become a pro or anything just want to be able to have a very low-maintenance setup for personals so I don't have to blow all my hard-earned cash on grass. About 2 months ago I tossed a seed of Crsytal into a pot and threw it in my closet with a low-wattage bulb. Everything has been going great, it just started crowning the other day and everything looked healthy. Then all the sudden, yesterday. the very top-most leaves started turning brown and dying. I am not sure what happened, I think the light may have been too close, I moved the light up last night and this morning the leaves looked even worse. Anyone know what's going on and an easy way to fix the problem? Is my plant done for? Thanks in advance!!

This is the crown of the plant. Notice the flower looks healthy, but the leaves surrounding it are all turning yellow and brown:

Here is a close-up of what the leaves surrounding the crown look like:

And for comparison, here is what the rest of the leaves on the plant look like, this leaf is only about 2 inches below the crown:

Re: Need some immediate advice

I've never seen this type of damage before.

How humid is the environment where the plant is growing? My first thought is leaf spot disease but I really don't know. sorry.

Re: Need some immediate advice

What kind of water (hard, soft, or city source) are you using; and are you making sure the PH is balanced?

What kind of nutes are you using?

What kind of soil or mixture of soil?

Is there air circulation in this box?

At first glance it looks like a mag or zinc def. however it is only affecting the top of the plant. When was the last time you flushed the soil? I can give you better advice w/ more details and better pics.

I agree with lessismore. Looks like a micronutrient deficiency but it's hard to say for sure and it's odd that it's just the top leaves. How close are they to the light and what kind of light are you using?
