Re: Plants Curling to the side?? W/ pics, Plz help

Hard to tell as pics are very closeup and of only a single leaf.... try, if you can, to get a full shot of the plant and also with the HPS off and regular lighting (so we can see the condition of the leaves in general).

However, I'd say if it's only a couple leaves...dont stress it. Just watch for it to continue to affect more leaves and then you'll know there's a prob...

Re: Plants Curling to the side?? W/ pics, Plz help

Thanks for the reply, I first off know that there is a problem, as im seeing these in multiple plants aged from 2 weeks flower to 7 weeks.

It only effects a few of the leaves across the plant, prob 4 or less per plant.

It looks bleached but only effects half of the leaf blade, left or right side, causing the leaf to pull across to one side.

The plants look like they have been slightly overnuted as i use 1600-1800 for the oldest and 14-1500ppm for the younger with 950-1100ppm for the ones 2 weeks in.

the only other recent change was the addition of more light when i stopped using my light mover, 6foot, w/ one 600w light only, and a 8 foot by 6 foot space. it seemed to add quite a bit more light to the plants which may have caused the stress as light stress? anyway, ill try to get pics up soon.

How old are the plants? range of 2weeks flower to 8 weeks the family genes ect have been around for 5 months or so

What type of lights and how many watts? veg under 8 100watt equiv. sunshine spectrum cfls, flower under 1 growlux 600 hps air cooled w/ glass cover to facilitate heat extraction, i know it knocks the uv down as well..

How far from the lights? closest about 15" furthest 28" its not hot there because of the venting...

What, how much and when was it fed? NPK? i feed adnutes grow micro bloom, w/ superthrive, silica blast, sweet, epsom salt, molassas, overdrive, gh ph up,

What is the medium/runoff pH? medium is 6.2-6.3 havent done runoff, What are

the temps and humidity in the room? temps 77f-80f, humidity is 38-44%

I also use co2 enrichment

The plants are NOT overwatered

i get the occasional fungus gnat, but no other bugs.

Re: Plants Curling to the side?? W/ pics, Plz help

Its pretty wierd, because it only shows up on a few of the leaflets across the whole plant, they are dutch hybrids so Ive been pumping them up to 2000ppm in the last weeks, but this problem is showing in some amount across all of the plants, Im sure its a deficiency caused by either incorrect ph or lack of some important nutrient, Im kinda doubting that its bleaching because not only would the entire leaf be effected, but leaves closer to the light would be effected as well.... correct me if im wrong tho. It doesnt seem to be spreading and im honestly not as worried about it now as i was a week ago. I had a light mover being used and stopped it to increase the amount of light, this may have caused some light stress and as long as it doesnt spread more, i should be alright. thanks everyone for reading my post, almost 150 views! but only 2 responses? I think in the future ill look to a more active community.

Re: Plants Curling to the side?? W/ pics, Plz help

pH you say is at 6.2 is fine so it's prolly not lock out caused by pH

you are running them at 2000ppm so its prolly not a deficiency - that's a pretty high level of feed - plus you're using a lot of different nutes/additives!

the plants have yellowed edges - in some cases only down one side of the leaf and in some cases just at the tips of the serrated edge of the leaf - which is classic nute burn

is it worse on the younger plants - if so then i'd place money on it being nute burn

I would flush and back off the nutes/additives

Re: Plants Curling to the side?? W/ pics, Plz help

ya your probally right about that,

it is slightly worse in the younger plants, also the plants show other signs of nute burn, i use alot of sweetners ect to boost the plants but didnt think that these would contribute to burn even tho they raise the ppm. I thought the plants would just absorb slightly less because the ratio of thier ppm between the plant and the solution was closer to eachother in the osmosis process. do you think flushing is necessary? could i water straight for a few sessions to lessen the impact on the plants (and the extra work)? ive heard that different strains respond to exacting ph soil readings, do you know a good place i can find this out for my specific gene? Thanks for your help!
