Plant grown too much

my plant is about 3 months old, and has been on 12-12 light for 2-3 weeks. the bud has begun to develop, but my plant grew to the top of the box, and has absolutely no room. should I let it grow as is? (the leaves are brownish where it grew into the top, but it is growing at a 90 degree angle towards the light.)

difficult to visualize without pics. maybe do a little light lst just to create a bit of room or even install a screen and bend them around it. what strain is it? you've prob got at least 3 more weeks of flower before it is ready and if it's a sativa dominant strain it could continue to stretch for nearly ALL that time.

I will try to get a picture. I am pretty sure it is Indica dominant because of the wide fanned leaves.
