Right away this is a little odd but my mother was weeding the garden last night at 12 midnight (Not something she does often thankfully considering the plants need time in the dark!) and by mistake, took one of the branches clean off. Even though she was very apologetic, I was still really P.O'ed and now that that has worn off, I'm worried! The stalk now has a small hole (about 1/8 of an inch big and deep) with a small line that came with the branch about 2 1/2 inches long (The same thing that would happen if you pulled a leaf off of a branch the wrong way and takes a small bit of the stalk off with it). I have been growing for about 4 years now and know enough that pot plants are strong suckers and can take quite a beating but will this problem end up correcting itself to be able to grow into a beautiful and bountiful harvest? Is there anything I can do to help it heal? Thank you all for your time and even more so if you responded to help my nerves

I will provide pictures of the situation tomorrow and post them to help 'diagnose' the situation.
