Re: Sick Plants? Have A Question? Ask Here.

Ok so heres the problem. A hobby-ist I know asked me if I could help figure out what happens to be wrong with his sprouts. I asked for every detail and this is what I got. These were said to be Sour Diesel bag seed with a 4/4 germination rate. Cracking shell at hr 24germination, then breaching the soil 24hrs later. 24 hrs later(72 hrs from start) the roots had breached the bottom of the peat cups, when at hour 100 were transplanted into 4x4x4 square pots with peat pots intact. They are 5 days old starting to push out their third "node" at 1.5 inches tall. From what I know, they are in a regular potting soil mix that has very little standard nutrients(such as .12/.16/.8)mixed with perlite. They are under fluorescent lights with plenty of humidity 70% and ventilation, being kept none over 80*f. Thus far no nutrients have been added and the PH run off is at 6.6. They are allowed to within moderation, dry out before re-watering. Here are the symptoms; each leaf digit is stretchy in the middle, with very little ridging. Yet the rest of the leaves appear to have nice ridging along the outer edges of the leaf digits? He explained it as if the outer and inner tips of the leaves rounded off with ridges "normally" but the center of each of those digits appears uniform or straight with minimal ridging(making them appear thin or semi-long in a mutated-ish way not seemingly related to strain referrence) Also in the middle of some digits there is a discoloration that appears pale? Mentioning light being vissible through the pale patches when looked at from above. Some of the newer nodes leaves appear mis-shapen or mutated somewhat with particularly strange appearences with the ridging of the leaves. The first nodes appear to have the straight edge ridges and pale blotches which havent gotten any worse since day one. And seems to be node 2 that has mutated looking ridges, on the 2 smaller digits of these 3 digit leaves. And node 3 un-determined as of age. And the 2 round leaflets that first emerge the seed shell are yellowing sub-durastically. What could possibly be wrong in the first week!?

So who knows what to do if you spray too much neem oil on your plants and they get all droopy?

Re: Sick Plants? Have A Question? Ask Here.

I'm just curious, i looked around a bit and kind of found an answer. should i basically saturate the soil for cuttings untill they take. I had a cutting that hadn't rooted yet and i started to think i was overwatering it, not i think i was underwatering it....

They haven't gotten any worse so, I haven't taken any steps to cure them yet. I've DEFINITELY got my eye on them though! If I get any type of change I'll update. Thanks!!!

Re: Sick Plants? Have A Question? Ask Here.

Hello everyone:

I've been reading lots of posts in the forums, various stickies and guides, and seen a lots of pics in the last few days, trying to figure this out. But I still don't understand what's up with this plant.

Then I saw Dubsteez's post, and thought the brown spots on his plant looks like the same shit I've got.

Mine is a tiny Lowryder, 33 days since sprout (Picture 1). There's another Lowryder plant, the same age and from the same batch of seeds, and even in the same pot (!) as the freckle-face bitch, but that plant is clean! But I'm worried about it...this whole thing started just 3-4 days ago on this plant, and wondering if I can do anything to make sure it doesn't spread.

I've also got a 63-day-old (Picture 2) with the same brown spots necrosis as Dubsteez's, but I cut most of those leaves off already. It got that same disease about a month ago, but it never got too bad, and the buds are doing pretty much okay.

Would be very grateful for any help on this!
