nute burn or nitro def?

hey guys, wanted to first off say thanks for all the wonderful help and tips so far. ive been researching alot on this forum and its been a huge help. anyways this is my first grow, i started late (late june) and have had these little guys growing for awhile. ive got roughly 8 plants and they were all looking really good up until now.

ive noticed the bottom leaves are turning yellow and burned looking ( i heard nitrogen deficiencies show up when the bottom leaves yellow first ). the new growth is fine, but the bottom sets of leaves are going down hill. their growth doesnt seem quite so fast either.

some background info:

bagseed, started in miracle grow potting soil, transfered to some new organic calloways soil (left the rootball with miracle grow soil intact, but put it in a pot of the nice new soil). they dont get quite as much light as they probably should (3-4 hours direct daily, filtered light the rest of the day) and i water usually once every two days because its so hot here.

let me know if you can tell whats going on from these pictures and how i can go about fixing it. thanks alot!

by the way, the rest of the plants all started doing this at the same time ( a few days ago). the few i have kept in the miracle grow soil, and even the ones in the new soil.

it looks like there is 2 in one pot.....if so then that is no bueno....take one out some how without damaging the roots too much and have 1 plant per pot...the yellowing of the bottom leaves always happens to everyones plant at one point or another...just take them off when they look completely dead.....make sure to be giving them nutes with high nitrogen to prevent you from the N deficiency but it looks fine for now peace

the yellowing seems to be moving up to the next set of leaves and the tips are looking a bit curled/dry. is that still okay?

Did those soil have added nutes in them? Have you added nutes top them? It is not nitrogen deficient. I can tell you that.

It actually looks like light deficiency.

It looks like the bigger fan leaves are filtering out the sun on the smaller leaves. Marijuana is a sun loving plant. You will never grow big, healthy plants with only 3-4 hrs. of direct light a day.

Keep in mind that MJ is still a weed, & we all know what happens to weeds when they are left to grow in the summer sun.

They get freakin' huge.

Give em' more light!!

First off, this happened exactly to my plants, but without the browning at first, i thought i was a N deficiency, which was correct may i add, but it was also a PH factor, my ph was off so the plant wasn't taking in nutes, so i adjusted ph and THEN added the nutes, if you do it the other way around you will burn the hell out of your plants. IN my opinion it looks like you just have an offset PH

EDIT: o yeah i forgot to mention, if you havent gotten any nutes yet, try something organic like fish emulsion, its harder to hurt your plants with it or over use it, but the only downfall is it is slightly acidic so you need to keep a good eye on ph, but if you do that then your golden, fish emulsion is something like 4-2-2.5
