Sick Plants

I just read a post about yellow leaves and falling off. I am having the similar problem, however mine are out door plants. They are about 6 weeks old. I replanted them about 2 1/2 weeks ago from the cup to the larger pots they are in now. I used Miracle Grow potting soil.....it said for herbs.

they are under direct sunlight all day, have plenty of water...maybe too much water? reason i question that is it rain for 3 days straight when i was out of town and the water in the container was stagnant. this happen 1 1/2 weeks ago. I am not feeding the plants anything and not checking any ph levels. I am just keeping them watered well and letting them grow natural in the sunlight.

I normally keep about 3 inches of water in the bottom of the container and the soil is always moist.

as you can see, i am a beginner. any suggestions or info is much appreciated.

the larger plant's leaves are actually more of a white color rather than yellow, the other two are turning yellow and falling off.

sorry for the poor pictures

1. Are these clones or from seeds? If clones they look liek they were not probably veged.

2. Do not water so much! I water my plants every 4-7 days and they are 6 times bigger than yours. They do not receive any oxygen when they are drowning in water. And can also rot the roots I have heard.

3. MG is not good for MJ unless it is the organic version than it is fine. if it is the regular stuff it has time realese fert that will slowly burn your plants with the occasional exception.

I say a combination of 2 & 3 has killed your plants.

Dude, that soil is WAY too wet. What are you trying to do, make soup?

Get rid of the water in the bottom of the pots. It will attract pests and induce root rot.

Let the soild dry out for a couple days or so. Don't water again until the soil feels dry when you stick your finger all the way in (2-3 inches down). Then water them about every 3-4 days, at most.

The 2 guys above covered it pretty well, I think you got some root rot going on and I doubt the MG soil is hurting any because of the water in there but once it dries out you should transplant to some soil with none of the added nutes in it, if thats the type of MG soil you got. Did it have little green balls in it? Thats the nutes and its not really good for seedlings. You arent giving your plants a chance to suck up any nutrients man, they are just soaked, dryer roots suck nutes up better than wet ones. Help_Needed gave some good advice on when to water your plants. They got tons of deficiencies, lol. Sorry I know its not funny. But wow. Plant some nice rose bushes in that MG soil.

The MG soil that I have is the organic one. This morning I decided that I would try to transplant them, under the impression that they are fucked for the most part. I flipped the pots upside down and tapped the bottom and they slid out pretty easy. The soil basically crumbled off and away from the roots except for about a baseball size clump at the base of the plant. I replanted them in the MG organic soil and left soil pretty loose since there are lots of roots. The clump of soil at the base was dripping with water so I just planted it like that and did not add any more water to them.
One of my plants lost some of the roots durring the transplant. Not sure if I jumped the gun a little by not waiting another day or two while the soil dried up in the pots? I guess we will see what happens. Thank you again for the advice/help.

Give you an update in a week or so.
