Lowering Soil PH

I have a couple plants that I started indoors and recently moved outdoors. They've been growing well, but are starting to turn yellow on the top leaves. I did a soil test and the PH seems a bit too alkaline, about 8. I keep reading that you should add dolomite to the soil, but the plants are in the ground and I can't dig them up now. What can I add to the water to lower the PH?

Dolomite lime will raise pH I believe.
Try giving it some compost or if they are in pots just get some pH down powder for soil and mix that in to the water you give it.
