My ICE is bleeding...
So, I'm in week 5 of flowering with a scrogged ICE plant and an Aurora B.
Had some serious root troubles with the ICE: turning purple, gray, dying, etc. I've had to cut some sections of the root mass out in order to try to save her. All of this has caused some serious yellowing of the leaves and some outright leaf death. Also, I believe that caused it to herm and it's producing a bunch of seeds as well as buds now. I'm okay with it, as I would like to get some ICE seeds anyway (this was my last one). Anyhow...one thing I've noticed that I haven't read about anywhere is that it seems that the main stem of the ICE has started slowly bleeding some thick, sticky, translucent sap. 100_5021.jpg My sweet MS Paint stylez show both where it's coming out on the main stem and where it's fallen. This is my first time growing anything (I've regularly killed houseplants) so I'm not sure if this is the stuff that travels through the plant to give it its nutrition or what. If so, can I slap some Clonex on the sections where it's coming out and hope for the best? Could this be causing the yellowing, dying leaves? I just really have no idea what this is about lol. ![]()

Hey Darth,
My guess is that you probably got a bit too ambitious with your most recent round of tie-downs on your scrog and managed to break the main stem just a little bit. It doesn't look too serious though, and will probably self-correct. Clonex won't do them much good. It's basically a nutrient suppliment with some rooting hormone mixed in....doesn't work too well as a bandaid .As for the yellowing leaves, if you've got a healthy canopy, it's normal for the lower leaves to die and fall off. They're not getting any light, so the plant lets them die rather than continue to try to support them. If it's the top leaves that are yellowing *then* you might have a problem.

Thanks for the input, Help.
As long as it's not too big of a deal, I can live with it. I don't think I did much to hurt her tying her down, but who knows? I thought maybe my chopping a dying section of roots off her might have caused it...somehow... And it's the top leaves that are turning brown and dying off. I just put up new pics in my grow journal if you want to check them out. I'd have to resize them all then rename them in order to repost them in this thread. I have a couple questions for you, but I think I'll ask in your last grow journal if that's okay. Thanks again.
