Leanin plants

my plants are about 3 to 5 inches tall and they are leaning pretty bad about a 45 degree angle is this normal or what?? i am going to put two computer fans in for ventilation is this a smart move??? and should i put bracers next to them to make sure they dont snap or would they just try growing with it and not become stronger grow room is about 2 x 2 x3 any ideas?

Your supposed to put a fan on them from day one to prevent this. Fans create strong root and stem growth. Also check your type of lighting and distance away as this can cause stretching of the stem.
Bracing them is a good idea for now.

can you post a picture?

Is your light above them , or off to the side in the direction they are leaning?

stem rot can also make plants begin to fall over

Yea lets see some pics.. but your room should be exhausted in five minutes or less and new air brought in preferably. Try and use an occilating(sp?) fan to stregthen up the stems. But pics would solve this blank pic in my mind and we could resolve it immeadiatly..well i mean hopefully GC could

here it is room is about 3 feet tall 2-3 feet wide and 2 feet deep 6 1 gallon pots arranged in 2x3 up against each other currently i have 5 plants growing 1 has yellow spots it's the one i trnasplanted because 3 grew in 1 pot the other 2 i transplanted died from broken stems.... i used regular soil from outside chopped and well hydrated... planted the seeds 4 are white skunk and the other is sweet afgani delight all between 3-6 inches tall.... the yellow spots are on the fan leaves and the plant was laying on the soil with only half an inch sitcking up at the end so i tied it to a bracer it's still alive but the stem looks unhealthy... the others look fine with the exception of one that feel on the edge of a pot i used some grass fertilizer in the beginning but stopped using itthere are worms and such in the soil the other plants show no discoloration they all have the same soil and a weed grew next to the spootted one and i let it continue to grow to make sure it was wans't jsut a parasite or soemthing or bad soil or bad ph or nutrients and it's going fine so im clueless on that i have no camaera or phone to take a picture sorry about that i have tin foil tape on cardboard and those are taped to 3 sides and the top of the grow room i used a small light which im going to get a bigger one as soon as possible i beleive it's 60 watts or so and thats about 12 inches above the 2 middle plants and 16-18 inches above the other 4 plants on the sides just got 1 of my pc fans rigged up so im going to try and put them on the plants right nwo they really need stronger stems or they'll snap over all of the palnts only have 2 regular leaves and 2 fans leavesnone longer than 3 quarters of an inch seems really tall and it might be the lamp but i dont have moeny to upgrade that at the moment i had a big 12 inch fan in there but it was too loud and would draw too much suspiscion so i got the pc fans and throwing a few in there got about 40-50 half inch holes drilled throguh the wood and tin foil in the back im a friend of his he lost login info lke i said i have no money pretty much invested it in the seeds and everyhing else in there so any help would be greatly appreciated also i head water wood ashes would give it the nutrients for stems???? any thoguhts on that?

just threw in a pc fan it's small and seems to only be breezing around 1 plant seeing as i have so many air holes going to throw the second fan to be blowing new air on the plants as well instead of an exit also made some aluminum foil sticks and put those next to the plants used some easter grass to hold the plants up kind of shifty but it'll do for the night let me know some better ideas on bracers and ideas on getting the stems stronger

same problem as the other guy... leaning plants :( sprouts though

well, i have the same problem as him... my plants are roughly 1 1/2 weeks old...

i just recently (today, may 13th,2008) transplanted them into topsoil. is it just shock? cause my leafs are drooping making me think im overwatering AND my stems are extremely weak, making me think stem rot or not enough fans on my plants...

check my stealth grow can in my sig and check my setup... not far enough into my grow to have ph tester and everything... so check it out and tell me what it may possibly be....

Thanks GC
