Sick Over Fertilized?

Plant is about 3 or 4 weeks old, browning and yellowing starts at the very tip of the leaf and works its way down until the entire leaf is shriveled up and dead. I have been watering a little bit more than normal with distilled water. I am ashamed to admit that I planted the plants in soil that already had nutes in it and more added to it..OOPS! Any suggestions????

yes it looks like nute burn... what kind of soil did you use?

you can try to flush the soil to get out all the nutes or change the medium, ie transplant the plant

...also... whats the ph?

Figured so

I used a potting soil for general flower and herb growing. Ph of my water was way to acidic so I started using distilled water and will continue to use it for the rest of the plants life. Ph test also revealed low levels of Nitrogen, which could also be playing a role in this catastrophe. So do you think that this will fix its self in the end?

Try Doing Research On This

Molybdenum
A Molybdenum deficient plant will exhibit yellowing necrotic leaves from the tips inward, with necrotic lesions present from the tips inward. A very distinctive feature is that it occurs in the middle of the plant. It also may spread to the rest of the plant if not stopped, eventually killing your plant.

Fritted Trace Elements may be added to your soil mix as you prepare it for planting. A good Hydroponic nutrient should contain ample micros to get your plant through its lifecycle.

Definite nute burn, the brown, dried tips are the give-away. I doubt you can flush them out either as most of these "time released" soils are really WATER released. More water=more nute balls burst=more nutes....

If you think it can take another transplant into some no-nuke-soil, that's what I would do. But there will still be plenty of unwanted soil packed around the root ball so you are taking a chance on the recovery rate either way.

It didn't take me long to learn young plants don't need anything but water, air, and love. I'm on week 8 of veg on my second grow and haven't used any nutes, my plants seem to love me for it. If you're wondering I use 6part organic soil, 2part perlite, 1part peet moss, 1/2part worm casting, 1/4part bat guano.

p.s. What the hell are you using to prop it up......kryptonite? More importantly, why does a plant that old need propping up?
