Help Please

Ok... i have about 20 plants in the ground and they are all about a month old, and not all of them have chicken netting around them because there outside cause its a guerilla grow. Well two of my plants have been pulled out with their roots hanging out just sitting there. They were both next to other plants, but they were just pulled out. I have out them back in the soil and rewatered them, but i was wondering, is this a rabbit or a deer clawing at my soil and pulling these plants out? Also, how can i prevent this from happeneing more? Any ideas would help a lot. Please help too cause i don't want my ladies to die on me.. there already gettin huge after a month and they have a long life ahead of them!
