Exclamation overnute or under?? heatstress? the babies are sick

this is my third grow and my babies are having trouble
they look terrible and im not sure how i let it go this far.
This is a new strain of OG kush that i have never grown before so im still trying to dial it in. details:
light: 400w MH( 3ft away from tops)
age: about 1.5 weeks from rooted clones
temp:from70-85
RH:40-65
ppm:900
nutes: RO water. all botanicare-Liquid Karma, Pro Gro, Cal Mag
PH:5.8
Medium: rockwool

I am still a noob too all this and just want to figure out whats wrong with the babies! see pics below. The last pic is of one of the normal looking ones. I was thinking the problem was heat stress/over nute but i really am not experienced enough to make that decision.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

900ppm sounds a little high. try cutting that inhalf for a few days, see if they perk up.

Actually, 900ppm is probably a tad low, considering he's growing under an HID.

To OP: You're plants look like they've got nitrogen toxicity. Based on the temps you're reporting, I'm guessing your reservoir temps are too high. What type of hydro are you using?

Check your res temps. If they're over 75F, you need to lower them. Also try to increase the air going into the reservoir (or add an airstone if you aren't using one).

Light is too far as well but with temps to 85 that might be as close as you can get. That is secondary to the problem you are having which appears to be fert burn/ nitro toxicity.

thanks for the quick responses guys! i just flushed all the cubes and am mixing up a batch of about 700 ppm or less. but shouldnt the light be further in this early stage of life? my resi temps were a bit high. im gonna try a chiller. but if i think about it then if i put the light closer wont the plants be able to eat more of the nutes causing LESS nute burn? just a thought...

Check this chart. I can get seedlings 12"-18" off the tops of my 400 watt MH or HPS even with 85 degree temps.
