Ph problem

I finally bought a Ph tester today and my soil turned out to be between 7.0-7.2. I was confused as i have watered them with distilled water bought from the store ever since day 1. So i tested the distilled water and its Ph was 7.0! how could this be? Should i just buy the ph up dwn solution for fish tanks and use it in the water for my plants?

Yup I got some distilled water at pH 7.5. If the runnoff is 6.8 or lower leave it. If the run-off water is 6.8 and higher adjust it with pH down or something else temporarily.

I dont get something with runoff...

My pH tester is kinda shitty, soil always read 6.8-7.2 but the runoff was always a few points lower.
What reading should i trust?

Run off probably is best.
