yellow spots on leaves

Hey guys, i know a picture would help but i don't have any cause i dont have the cords to hook my camera up to my computer but this is whats up....
I have 6 holland hoops 7 durban poison and 8 power plants all about 2 weeks into growth. Some of them are starting to show smal yellow spots on their leaves and at the tips of the leaves. The ph of the soil is between 7 and 8, and it is an organic soil so there arn't any nutes in it. my lighting system is simply 4 4ft long cfl, and the temp is about 83 while the light is on.. 18 / 6 schedule. I will be moving them outside soon into soil that has already been placed into holes in guerilla spots. The soil I'm putting these babies in has nutrients in it, so i wanted my plants to get strong enough to be able to take in the small amount of nutrients that the soils has. So heres my questions.

What is causing the yellow spots on my leaves? is it the ph?
Also, if it is the ph, i just bought some stuff to lower the ph of the water i will be giving it, and to lower the actual soil ph i have bought some pool ph lower which is mainly made up of sodium bisulfate... will this be ok for lowering my plants... and should i just put it on the soil?? Please lemme know what you guys think... cause i wanna get these ladies started on the right foot!

Thanks,
tb151

Thumbs down

pH for soil should stay within 6.3-7.1ish.

Yes if the ph is off that can cause yellowing/brown/spots as well as other issues. I just went through what sounds like the same exact thing (ph twist, someone else called it)
I'v never head of using that pool stuff so I would wait for someone to confirm its ok. However, if that doesnt work or you can't use it just repot them and make sure there is correct drainage. After being repoted they should do much better. Pics might help diagnose little better...

well i'm not sure how this sounds, but what i'm gonna do is change the ph of the water that im feeding my plants... and ill be transplanting my plants into the ground where i have miracle grow moisture retention.. so im gonna go to my grow spot and mix my water that has a lower ph into the soil before i transplant my plants there. Sound good? also... the stuff for the pool actually looks a little like salt.. and i was thinkin about addin it in the soil i have ready for transplanting... to lower the ph... any ideas??
