uuuuu oh :(

First ill explain the setup....

Temps are steady between 80-85 degrees.

Humidity is at 40% for the most part.

This is a CLF Cab Grow and the lights are about 2-3 inches away from the tops.
I know usually people get them closer but this light rack is hottt.

I have been watering them with tap water which always sits for at least 24 hours before use and have been trying not to overwater (learned that lesson the hard way already =/). Not too much water has been draining from the pots (I have no clue what ph may be) however the soil is still drying out before i water it. I figured that little drainage would be a prob but the plants were too small I didn't want to risk transplanting them to better pots until they grew a little more, seems I have no choice now. btw, im growing in Scotts premium organic potting soil + peralite, which yes is time release, and I know that was a mistake, oh well =/ There are no added nutes other then the ones in the soil to begin with. Anyone know what may be causing this?

Heres are some pics....

The oldest is in the green pot at about 3 weeks old and its showing some nasty dark yellow spots on the tips and middle of two leaves. You can also see that the youngest leaves on this plant (the ones most far down on the stalk) are completely yellow.

The youngest is having the same problems with the lower most small leaves being completely yellow and two other leaves are dried, cracking, and warped at the tips.

Disregard that statement. My plants grow at around 80 to 88 degrees and they are flourishing. They never are below 80 degrees except at night. For the most part they are at 85-88 degrees constantly during the day.
I don't know what's wrong with your plants. But if your temps are where you say they are that's not the problem. Google search or search the stickies here for picture. Maybe you can find a picture of what you have going on.
Good luck!

Yea, unfortunately indica is wrong again.
Your humidity could be a little higher.
You have pH twist, you need to get a meter to correct it.
Those time release nutes are wreaking a little havoc.
Thats the result of those little fert balls you have.

Thanks alott guys. Temp was one of the first things I double checked any like hyme said, plants can still flourish at 80 degrees but may stress above 85, this doesnt mean they are guarenteed to die. Looks like Im going to have to invest in a ph test kit if its the only real way to tell. I'm trying to keep that humidity high as well, got a humidifier running on a timer. Seems like an accurate diagnosis though, thanks a bunch guys. If anyone else has anything to add, I much appreciate it. guess I need new soil now too....
