new top growth twisting and lower leaves turning yellow then brown?

I started growing on a low budget and thought miracle grow was a good idea but transplanted all my plants into larger pots with diffrent soil because they were having this problem. I have changed the soil and moved the lights away but nothing has helped. The new leaves on the top keep twisting and the bottom leaves are turning yellow and then brown and die. I am sure it has something to do with the miracle grow and is now probably something to do with ph. any help would be much appreciated on what I can do to revive my babies. Also I am using cfl's and flourescent tubes. if there is anything that you might need to know just ask and ill get back to you right away

Sounds like they need nutrients... How old are your plants and how much nutrients are you feeding them?
