Diagnose my plants please (*Pics*)

Hey Fellow members, well im on my first grow, plants are around 3 weeks ( 3 plants are comming up to 2 weeks )

And i come to you guys to tell me what i can do better! or different!

The healthy looking plants, with big ass thick leaves are the new plants...

Ok well i mise as well help you help me..

around 2 weeks, i gave Floramicro (Lucas formula) to my plants ( obviously not a good idea, but im a newb! )

one plant took side affects REAL BAD (the worst one in my photo's) others just got minor yellowing - So i figured it was nute burn or Heat stress.

So i fed them after words with correct ph (6.4-6.6) drop of Superthrive.

I then Transplanted them into some

Eko Compost, this stuff imo sucks When i water it creates a Water pool of some sort, taking it about 10 seconds to seep into the dirt... about 6 out of 9 plants are in this stuff, and i break the top layer of the soil, mabey to help it? lol..

3 of the plants are in Black Gold Organic Soil ( This stuff rocks it seems so far, my Younger plants are out growing the older plants as a speedy rate )

I think im rambling here! So i guess ill end it..

My room says in the Temps between 71-79 ( SOMETIMES breeching 81 when the heater in the basement is on )

Humidity 20-35%

400 watt hps light, about 25 inches above the plants.

Anything else i can provide to help you help me ?

Well, I am not familiar with Eko compost...

Looks like you have some pH twist going on, which is common with black gold

I would recommend you test the pH of your runoff.
How often do you water, and how much?
I would also work on getting your humidity higher.
As you already know, 2 weeks is a little early to be feeding.

Ok, But The black gold plants, are doing very good, one of them has the leaves curving up, like teeth, but the other 2 are out growing the older plants?

What is a Ph twist? =X

i water every 2-3 days, just depending on if there is moist 5 inches finger deep in the soil.

How much water? Till i see some run off , is this not the proper way ?

Humidifer? Alrighty, is there any *Cheap* Household items that can do this?

Does a bucket of water raise or lower the humidity ?

Yes 2 weeks is early, i wanted them to grow faster, and it bit me in the ass, hey live and learn right? its only bagseed, but i still want to suceed!

If more pics need to be taken, i can and will =)

Thanks for the reply Anony!

Youve gotta let them grow at their own rate. Some just grow faster than others. They don't need any ferts at all until their out of their seeding stage. I had problems with black gold soil....some of my plants love it and some grew horrible in it. Check the ph and if it is fine just let them do thier thing, impatience is what ruins grows. What kind of lights are you using? The blue spectrum lights work way better for veg...the lighting you have on right now looks like it's for flowering.

You put them in straight compost?

That's probably why you're having problems. Compost is a soil supplement. You're supposed to mix it into your soil to provide nutes for your plants.

400 Watt Hps, I understand that i shouldnt have fed them so early, Why i did? Who knows i had so many seedlings on me, i wanted to see what happened =X live and learn, wont do it again...

My Younger plants are doing great in the black gold so far..!! ( obvioulsly no nutes! haha )

One question though, what is with some of the leafs curving "Up" ?

Thanks for the reply!

I'd transplant them ASAP then. In addition to being too hot for seedlings, straight compost doesn't drain well.

You're Black Gold is ok. Fox Farms Ocean Forest is another soil that's very popular with dirt growers. You'll want to add some perlite to either of them for drainage. Don't add any nutes for a couple of more weeks after you transplant them.

Yes, I think it's a temp's problem too... they're obviously not in a very good environment and the roots seem to be struggling to uptake nutes, which might also suggest something drastic has happened in the medium.

Personally, I'd get another fan in there and semi flush the bastards with a good dose of ec and pH balanced nutes.

My temps are stable?

i have 1 Box fan, and 1 rotating fan on the plants.

Yea, im not sure on the environment, because this is my first grow, im trying to work out the kinks and learn this =) just bagseed, but id still like to get it down.

I can either get some Black gold from my local shop, or go to Portland this weekend, and get some Fox farm, if i do go get the fox farm gonna buy like 60 bucks worth of it lol =X

Your temp's are stable at what temperature? As pointed out there is definite signs of heat stress on the leaves... and the plants are clearly lacking in nutrients.

Although there can be many reasons for your plants not uptaking nutrients... off the top of my head, toxicity, oxygen, temperature, overwater, undernute.

Ok - When i get back from what im doing, i changed my Room around abit, took the Ballast outside of the small room..

ill take updated pictures..

I appricate all the feedback -

Obviously it was dumb of me to put those plants in straight compost - will head to the garden center tomarrow ( no hydro shop, no Fox farm - trust me, ive looked ) and pick up some black gold potting soil - my younger plants LOVE it..

--

Temps are between 71-76 Id call that stable? Humidity is a problem atm staying at around 20-25%

No money to buy a humidifier, i mean not atm - Any Cheap ways to raise That %?

Again ill get update pics, love all the help!
