White flies help!

Hey guys, i've been lucky enough that both my oldest plants are both female, now i have a problem. Whilst watering the big girl yesterday i found little white insects bubbling to the top of my soil when watering. A few little black flying things are starting to get around as well. Now i read from the plant abuse thread that potato slices help keep them from eating your roots. The shops are all closed today, so last night i put out some potato slices on the soil to help, checking this morning they haven't seemed to have attracted any of these insects.

They don't appear to be attacking the leaves or stem, just the roots at present. I had a look out in the shed and found some spray on solutions for these specific bugs but they are purely foliage sprays. Would this then stop the roots being eaten? Though this wouldn't eliminate them entirely? I'm a bit lost for ways on how to tackle this situation and i don't want to nuke the shit out of my plants.

I did a quick search and didn't come up with much information, any help would be appreciated

to deal with the adults
sprinkle powdered garlic on the soil to repell the adults, yellow sticky traps also work well paced on the soil

during the night cycle, put a couple "No Pest Strips" in the room, turn off the fans so the vapor builds up in the room.

dont forget to turn the exhaust fans etc back on next lites On period

looks pretty healthy, take car of your bugs

Not saying this is the cause, but if you're getting soil from outside, make sure you freeze it for 48 hours. A bug-eating lizard could help if you have or would like to get one. If you aren't afraid of spiders, you can get a daddy long legs for your growroom.

I was thinking about getting a spider for my grow dresser but I dont think its neccesary for it though. Its sealed up pretty good and I havent had any problems with bugs yet. But if I do I probably will, besides, if I got a lizard and it got lose, my cat would find it and then he'll give a present lol

Lady bugs are perfect but they are really only good for grow rooms and outside, stealth grows arent that good cuz its to small for them.
