Don't make any sudden changes to the soil of a flowering plant.
It better to either slowly change or not change it at all, providing the plant survives. And, it could be me but from the big spaces in between nodes I deduce that the plant has been a bit overwatered, or is low on light. O yeah one more thing, it would be might handy if you could post true color pics of plants when asking us to judge the color of your plant. Daylight or white fluro light should do better, even with a crappy camera.
