Halp, she be dyin' :*( *Pics*

First post here, I'll try to be as informative on this as I can (problem is, it's my roommates plant, but I want it to live for pretty obvious reasons , so here we go!

There is one bit of leaves that are browning, looking what I can only describe as deadish.

(Sorry for sideways pic)
Soil: Miracle Gro Seed Starting Potting Mix
Light: Equivalent of a 75w bulb from grocery store, one of the "longterm" bulbs
Atmosphere: None to speak of, chilling in a closet with no fans/etc
Waterings: Whenever the soil is dry, he waters it. Goes through a standard sized Nalgene a week.
PH Range: Once again, not a clue, not really an organized grow just threw some seeds in a pot
Nutrients: None.
Date: 3-4 months old now.

I know this isn't a super descriptive post, but hopefully the picture will be enough for some of you to help me identify just what needs to be done to save the plant.

Also, having read a lot of the guides here I know we're doing it wrong Thanks for any responses you guys can wrangle up!

Im new to growing but from what I can tell you miracle grow has to many nutes in it which may be bad for the plant. More watering might be very helpful as well.

Well, could be alot of things. Probably that its getting a deficiency of some king. Looks like it is time for some fertilizers, my friend. Search some threads on them. Start with a 7-7-7 or a 10-10-10 for vegginf the plant, but move to a 15-30-15 or something for the budding stage dude. Oh, and buy a PH tester for the runoff and the soil. Good Luck!

I thought that the Miracle Grow was only a problem for the seeds, as it could nute burn the seeds or something? I dunno, I was probably mistaken, but yeah I realize that the Miracle Grow is not nearly as miraculous as the name implies :P

Could that be the only problem?

+Rep for the help mang

Edit for GigZ: Thanks dude, I'll start looking into that. Let you guys know how it turns out, if we get around to it :/ +Rep for the help

Everyone claims MG is bad for Cannabis, but I personally always use MG soils, just not the ones with Time release. I grow my plants fine. The only time they suffer is when I mess them up. I think the MG is just a Marijuana Growing urban legend. I've met a few people who use it and all MG types of products on Cannabis.

Hey mang it seems weird that they would be getting fert burned now being they are so mature. Since you have not fed it yet and it is 3 months old I think its time to be fed. Feed it at half strength though for the start.

There is a chance this plant may be nothing more, than a budless plant ...In the chance that it's a female, and that it's flowering, read below!

Given the information above, we can begin by tackling the lighting issue. At this stage of growth, if indoors, it is recommended that the plant receive a 12/12 light cycle assuming you want it to flower. As for your lights, a "75w bulb from the grocery store" is more than likely, just another incandescent light which is mere useless when you need a bulb with some kind of warm light spectrum. You can go do some local research on finding a couple 125w compact fluorescent lights (warm 2700k).

As for the atmosphere, if you plan actually growing this plant to bud indoors, you are going to need reflectivity for the lighting on the plant. You can keep it basic by putting your grow area in the corner of a roll with white walls (white walls work better than a box of tin foil ). If you have a couple bucks to spend, you can go to Lowe's or Home Depot and pick up a 96%-99% reflective material called Mylar. You also want to run a couple of circulation fans to cool your lighting fixtures, and to keep the plant happy. You may also want to keep temperature of the grow area.

As for watering, if your plant is relatively big, you want to water it every so often, making sure the soil is nice and moist after watering, but not damp and soggy. The bigger the plant gets, the more you want to water it, because it will transpire at a much quicker rate than smaller plants with less leaves.

Good luck with everything!

your plant is way streched. You need to read about tying that thing down especially if you're going to flower with fluorescents. Equivalent wattage means nothing. Look at the actual wattage of the fluorescent bulb... you need 100 watts total to flower.
