New clones.. having a few problems HELP please!

I am fairly new to growing but I have these clones which I transplanted and i am not sure what to do about how they are looking. There is a filmy..almost white residue on some of the leaves, and others are curling up and/or browning slightly. I used sterilized potting soil with good drainage from home depot and have been watering them so hat the soil stays moist without having the pots sitting in puddles of water. I keep them under a line of fluorescent lights above my kitchen counter, hanging roughly 6 to 8 inches above the plants. Please let me know what I am doing wrong and if I can do to still work with these plants...thank you!

They look pretty good.
Only think that caught my eye was the light distance. Try for 3-4 inches away instead of 6-8. What brand of soil is they in?

I'm not exactly sure but im going to say they were about 3 weeks old and they have been potted for about 3 days. Yes, they were in rockwool which I just planted into the soil. I have also not checked the pH of my water yet. What do I want the soil/water pH to be exactly?

id aim for about 6.5 for soil - make sure to check your soil runoff for its pH as well. if its off. make sure you flush your pots with 6.5 pH balanced water, till you bring your runoff pH reading closer to the 6.5 mark

The water that is going into the soil is about a 7 on pH. The soil itself, combined with the water seems to come up fairly orange, putting it between 6 and 7 I believe.

I am most concerned with the browning leave tips and the white/filmy residue on some of the leaves...any ideas?

I'm no expert, but the white residue doesn't sound like something you should worry too much about, and more of a natural occurance that could have to do with the stage of the parent plant (I can't tell for sure though, the pictures are a bit fuzzy, and i can't see the problem you're talking about. Downsizing them would be appreciated...).

The clone i'm growing (i'm just entering flowering) has often had a few brown tips. I'd check the sick plant post at the beginning of this board if you're concerned, but i also don't think it will be a big deal. Best of luck.
