Advice needed: Plant growing twisted

hey GC
i started this plant from seed... its a master kush plant and it first pushed thru on dec 5 same day as the others that i germed at the same time. it just came out of the ground horizontally for some reason... no nutes yet just organic soil and water. i was thinking about just leaving it this way but then a buddy of mine said that it will just end up killing itself.... should i try to make it stand? take a look or yourself... questions, comments, and advice welcomed.

I think (but I don't know) that the best thing to do is to bury the twisted loop piece under the soil so the top piece of the stem plus the leaves stick vertically out of the ground like a normal little plant.

Hopefully it'll grow roots all over the buried piece so it can end up normal and healthy.

I agree with Amsterdamage, a plant growing horizontally isn't a problem when it's older but it hasn't even produced its second set of true leaves yet. Try to get it growing straight by burying the loop in soil for now, and once it's got a couple more leaf sets you won't have to worry about it too much.

Hey.... thanks for the pointers.

i just went and pulled that plant out again to see if i could in fact cover the loop with a lil more soil. well looks like the loop sticks up just as tall as the bottom of the first leaf set. so if i do cover the whole loop then it the first leaf set will be sitting soil level.

Would that be okay for the plant having soil that close to the leaf set??

maybe this plant just really really wants to LST.

lol ..maybe it does!

looking at this picture it looks like you could just build up the soil level by half an inch, that'd cover the loop and leave the leaves and stem sticking out.
Having the soil almost up to the first set of leaves is fine, the stem there can be encouraged to start growing roots very easily. I worked three years in
a large propagation nursery and we'd do whatever we could to save the seedlings, burying them a little deeper never caused any problem. In a
couple of weeks they look just like the rest.

alright i havent done anything this plant yet but water it... im still not so confident in coving the loop because it would cover the bottom leaf set. im thinking that im going to let it grow out and hope that it doesnt kill itself. definately LST this one if it makes it tho.

you need2 gently stake it up mate dont burry it yet

a toothpick is all you need but a gentle touch is needed,so dont do it after a good smoke
gently put toothpick beside root then again gently tie up the root to the t-pick so root is now upright, dont worry it'll look a bit weird at 1st but will be fine within 7-10 days
also getta fan giving it a breeze that'll strenthen up the stem.(BUT IN PROCESS OF STAKIN UP BE VERY VERY CAREFULL YOU DONT SNAP IT BUT SUBTLE ENOUGH THE NOW TOO HANDLE A BIT OF TWISTING)

problem burrying stems is the stem will grow out of the soil when plant grows,so waste of time, end up being a big thick twisted stem ,you can burry stems which have stretched as there straight but your twisted 1 will give probs later on as its the stem even outta site but imagine when its fed the water now has too find its way up through the twisted stem which WILL lead to probs in the future, possibly?? dont want too take the chance yeh?

hope this helps.
