Shit! Can this clone be saved? (picture attached)

I have a God Bud clone which hasn't rooted. It's been between 1 and 2 weeks. The grower I got it from said it had rooted, but it became obvious that was bullshit once the thing started feeding itself with it's leaves. Thinking it was a nutrient deficiency, I gave it very, very dilluted nutes about 26 hours ago.

I just went to check for new growth and it came out of the soil a half inch. I pulled it out the rest of the way: no roots. I just re-cut the tip to remove obstructions, dipped it in some water so no air got in it, and planted it back in the soil.

Would Olivia's (that rooting hormone) or some vitamin B help this thing live?

Mist that clone 4 times a day and make sure the soil has plenty of oxygen and a good amount of moisture. Not too much. The plant should be fine in 10 days. Good luck.

Too late for that. I took it out and replaced it with another plant this morning. Thanks though.

Patience

The biggest thing to learn in this growing game is patience...i've burn every plant so far...so I'm no expert, but don't ever give ferts to a seedling or an unrooted clone...sure death!!! Also, look up the popsicle cloner or icecube cloner for good cloning method...don't advise trying to clone in regular soil.

Good luck with the new one!

well, cloning in soil can be easily done if you have the proper time. Like a couple posts before, you need to make sure that clone stays VERY moist. A lot of people make the mistake that you can over water a clone just like a full sized plant. That is the problem.

Just do this-
Keep the clone under a humidity dome. (clear plastic container over your clones)
Make sure the lights are far away from the clone. (better yet, use CFLs)
Mist about 4 times a day.
Make sure that soil is practically MUDDY.

Also, are you using a rooting hormone?

superthrive

If there is ever a problem like that use superthrive. That stuff works great with clones. I was given a clone from a local dispensary only because they doubted it would live. In the end i got a nice yield and i have superthrive to thank.

Thanks for giving me advice that has nothing to do with this topic. I didn't clone anything. I got it from another grower. Read the posts next time.

As for too much light. Two 26w CFL weren't too much for the other two clones I got from him. I don't think that was the problem. Doesn't matter though, it's already been replaced with a new plant.

I had my run a cloning and had my fails/sucesses.

I made a sick ass clone machine w/ tons of bubbles and everything. The prob as I had a VHO tube in there. The leaves would just turn bad from the insides out. new growth first and then I would have to throw them away. Then I threw a clone in a starter cube (some round sponge thing) and put it in a shot glass in my living room (ambiant light) and it rooted in a 2 week. Looked like they day I cut it.

Now when I clone it gets a little lamp thats in the room and the tv as light. Maybe just me but take a un-rooted clone next time and dont give it as much light.
