My Blueberry chron. is dying... help

I currently have these 2 chronic plants. They were given to me from a friend who's angry mother plucked them at 2 weeks old. I am nursing them back to health. My other plant (Afghani) is doing very well now and is 2-3 times larger than my blueberry.

as you can see the bottom 2 leaves are turning yellow and the tips are curling.

They get watered every day or every other day. Its not overwatering cause my other plant is doing amazing. The lighting is ok, they are getting fresh air.

The only thing i can think of is maybe a nutrients problem or its root bound....

any ideas???

note: the plants are almost 2 months old. Its hard to believe cause there so small but i was given these plants when they were in massive shock and i have had to day and night nurture these little ones back to life. So any ideas on how to get the little one growing again? Its growth is amazingly slow

if you're watering that often, then you're watering too much. let them dry up between waterings, period! if they're 2 months old then they're probably stunted. i'd start watering "normally" and start with some nutes and see if they recover. i'd bet they will not. when you say you're nurturing them day and night, what do you mean? what is there to do??? if you think they may be rootbound then re-pot to something larger.

When i do my watering i always make sure that the soil has dried out and the plants need the water. I just do it in small quantities. And im having to watch them to make sure it dosnt get too hott or they lean too far in the light.

If your friends mom "plucked" them, then they're probably busy growing new root systems, which makes them a lot like new rooting clones.

Which, if that's the case, then the lower leaves turning yellow is pretty normal and not something you should worry about. When the new roots are set, you will see new growth. In the meantime just keep them warm and don't water them too often.

Good luck!

thanks thats what i needed to know. My plants are probally already root bound. Is it worse to transplant to the permanent pot while there still in this weakened condition? Or to leave them and bring them back to health and try and transplant later with potentially some fucked up roots?

if they're still pretty wet (and i bet they are) it is a lot easier. the moist medium holds the roots together. it's really not that big of a deal. stretch out the edges/sides of your pot a few times, to loosen things up around the edges. turn the container on it's side and lay your hand on the top of the medium. make sure the stem is (loosley) between a couple of your fingers. then slowly turn the pot over. if it doesn't just fall out, tap the bottom of the pot a little while keeping a good hold on the plant/medium. it should just fall out. make sure your other pot is prepared for your plant. i always pre-moisten my medium before transplanting. if you don't, when you water, the medium kind of collapses into the pot cause it is getting compressed and air is being forced out.
