Root rot or so I thought?!? few Pics

So after reading up on this site I thought I had over watered my seedlings giving them root rot. the leaves on 7 of the 9 I have going started drooping several days ago so I thought I'd let them dry out for 2 days. They've had no water for 2 days in the pics I'm attaching and the soil is alot drier than it looks in them. This moring I took the weekest looking one of all and pulled the whole thing from the cup and all the roots on outside of soil along bottom of cup appear fine they are white with little white hairs, I didn't want to destroy a possibly healthy sprout so I didn't remove soil to look at inner roots but figure if ones in bottom of cup where moisture prob. stays longest are healthy the inner/ upper root system should be fine. So now I'm not so sure about root rot. The seedlings in question where started in jiffy peat pellets then moved to 18 oz. solo cups with Majestic Earth Seed Starter Potting Soil. No ferts or nothing. I have some Fox Farm Ocean Forrest soil but wanted to wait til they where a bit bigger for transplant. What should I do?? I'm really new at this so any advice could help. Maybe add diluted nutes or something. Also I know it's not under watering cause I was keeping soil moist by regularly misting from the top and every couple of day letting water soak in through bottom, also the leaves are still strong they don't feel wilted. The cups are sitting in small cat litter trays and I would just dump about a 1/4-1/2 inch of water into trays and let it soak in through holes I drilled in bottom.

The plants pictured look fine.
Wait, like you said to go to FFOF Soil.
Do NOT add even diluted nutes; they won't need nutes for about three weeks of life/normal growth.
