AHHH! Possibly killed buds?!?! Can they recover?
First time grower, bag seed, soil, CFL, three plants in a closet. I *was* about two weeks from harvesting one of the plants. I left for the weekend and when I came back my plants were wilted and/or brown. It appears my temperature sensor that controls the exhaust fan failed and the plants were near or over 100 F for two days. Plus, I think the added heat dried the soil faster than normal and they became under watered as well.
All three were severely wilted when I returned. This particular plant was much farther along in flowering than the other two and as I said, I was about to harvest. I immediately watered all three plants and the other two perked up, but I still lost a lot of fan leaves (brown and crispy) on both of them. The buds on this plant went from bright green to a darker greenish-brown and have lost about half of their density. Is there any chance for this plant to recover? Will the buds soak up the water and regain their density and color or are they done for? If they won't recover, can I still smoke the brown crusty bud? I'm assuming it will taste shitty, but I can deal with that.
What a depressing turn of events. Thanks for any insight you can provide.
