trying to reduce heat stress

Im new to growing and all my plants are yellowing slightly and my white widow is alot dead...im sure its heat stress and the only thing i can think of it to raise the lights more (already at about 3, 3 1/2 feet) or change from a 24/0 light schedule to 18/6...any suggestions? thanks

Check your PH. I always confuse heat stress with PH problems. The best tip anybody ever gave me on lowering my temperature was to have my lights off time during the hottest part of the day. Obvious, but easy to forget.
