HELP!! grasshoppers are killing my baby

ok so my outdoor plant is about 2 months old, and was growing great.
then all of a sudden somthing started eating the tips off the fan leaves.
and i was a bit concerned, but now somthing is turning the fan leaves in
to swiss cheese, they completly ate one leave, right down to the stem
they eat everything but the cola's those are untouched

iv noticed alot of grasshoppers jumping around when i go to water it
but iv never seen any on the plant it self

i dont know what to do

Steep 4 garlic cloves in 1 litre of boiled water for 24 hours.
Strain.
Do not dilute add 5-8 drops of dishsoap. Spray on plants, no more than twice a week
