4 plants in trouble

I was advised to get some pics of the plants with the HPS off, so i've reposted them as
I'm very worried about the state of these plants. the lower leaves are curling and browning to the point of getting so dry they crumble.

I've slowed down watering and lowered the quantity.
I'm using good soil.
No nutes
400 W HPS
Temps are good between Min 70 and Max 80 degrees

And i'm out of ideas ?

what is good soil? brand name?

whats the PH of your water and the soil runoff pH

To rule out PH related issues complete a soil runoff PH test.......
with PH corrected water (6.5-6.8PH ) pour enough water in the pots so the water runs out the bottom of the pot ...test the PH of this water....

Yes it was good soil, all natural, no nutes.
With a mix of perlite, vermculite, and peat moss, i'll water with rainwater today and check the runoff. I've go the necessary stuff to raise and lower the ph of the soil or the water.

whats the soil brand name? your idea of good & the plants maybe different

vermiculite isnt good for weed they prefere dry roots, that one of the reasons your plants look overwatered

peat is gennerally acidic and can be anywhere on the PH scale

peat aslo contains nutes, nitrogen in particular

AMGROW Garden Essentials - Organic Garden Soil

PH runoff is at 6.7 I'm using an digital Ph tester.

Soil Ph looks within the correct colour scheme , using the soil sample type tester.

Should i repot without the vermculite, and peat moss ????

Just the soil and Perlite..?

organic composted soils ( thats ferts added ) and you started to fertilize @ approx 14 days old , clearly they have been overwatered, but you already know you were too heavy handed there, is just alot for young plants...
they can handel the vermiculite you added but your the guy adding the water

Id like to suggest you dont water the plants till they almost start to wilt, from thirst

I also suggest you try this:
Miracle-GroŽ Water Soluble All Purpose Plant Food (they make several fertilizers be sure its this one)
http://www.miraclegro.com/index.cfm/...c0236933b0a7a4
Fertilizer Analysis: 24-8-16 with micronutrients
2 level "Teaspoons" per gallon of water, (reduce this by 50% first time application) feed every other watering till flowering

Ok, i won't water until they are nearly wilting. I just didn't think it was a water problem becasue the bottom leaves were getting so dry and crumbling. Thanks for the help.

on another post you admitted you knew you were overwatering.....
and your using vermiculite thats designed to hold water

the damaged crispy leaves is most likely from fert burn from premature feeding 14 day old plants that were in soil that already contained nutes.

dont be confused there homergrower, you know what to do....you know your plants and your schedules better than us....

when I have a perplexing issue on multiple plants, I isolate the problem, by testing each plant separetly

feed one with the ferts I suggested .....dont water another.....give more water to the other

Im sure youll find the plant you give the MG ferts to will snap out of it much faster

Ok, i've given them some space over the weekend, they seem to be doing ok. The tallest one i topped last week and it now has healthy looking new growth..

One other thing is the tallest one i topped has a very red stem, i'm guessing this is just a nute def. of some sort and will sort itself out.
Hopefully the MG is available near me so i'll pick some of that up. Thanks again for your help.
