Please help, yellow leaves???

My plant is 17 days old, from seed, today.
She (hopefully) is a Mandala #1, grown in organic, fertilizer free soil, under cfls. (brought outside for pics) I am using reverse osmosis purified water.
I cant figure out why shes going yellow.

ANY HELP OR THOUGHTS APPRECIATED, PLEASE HELP!

thanks

Most likely a lack of nitrogen.
Or over watering it.

im not sure, cant test it. but wouldnt the reverse osmosis make it normal?

i dont think im overwatering, i let it dry out almost completely after every time i water.

allowable potable water in this country I believe is 6.0 -8.1

Reverse osmosis water generally has a pH of 6.0 the whole point is to remove the solutes (salts) 6.0 is too low and could very well lockout nitrogen causing the yellowing

you need a ph meter or an aquarium PH test kit

it could very well may just need to feed, but to be certain test the water & the soil runoff ....
To rule out PH related issues complete a soil runoff PH test.......
with PH corrected water (6.5-6.8PH ) pour enough water in the pots so the water runs out the bottom of the pot ...test the PH of this water....

I fed yesterday at 1/4 strength (8-7-6) and it is looking worse then ever this morning. I think it might die.
How long does it take for it to absorb the nutrients?
Should i feed it some more?
thanks

most plants respond to the ferts within 48hrs

is your soil always wet are there enough holes in the container to drain so that the soil dries out between waterings

I have a lot of holes all over the bottom of the container, I always let it dry out for at least 2-4 days between watering. But it is quite wet right now due to the extra water i had to give it when i fed.
im going to let it dry out for the next couple of days and hope she improves.
is there anything else i can do for her?
thanks for the reply

Its been over 48 hours since I fed.
Still seems to be spreading up the plant.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

This is what she looks like now:

it does look worse today...the damaged leaves wont repair themselves
and since the only thing youve done is feed it & it now even shows signs of the overwatering I previously noticed in the soil the plant is now negatively responding to that overwatering

its seems pretty clear that watering is drowing the roots and locking out nitrogen
& the reason it isnt improving is not only the water but ...1/4 strength of your nutes wont fix much....I didnt notice your NPK yesterday 8 7 6
my ferts are 24-8-16

Miracle-GroŽ Water Soluble All Purpose Plant Food (they make several fertilizers be sure its this one)
http://www.miraclegro.com/index.cfm/...c0236933b0a7a4
Fertilizer Analysis: 24-8-16 with micronutrients
2 level "Teaspoons" per gallon of water, (reduce this by 50% first time application) feed every other watering till flowering

let this plant dry out for 3 days (it will get a bit worse before it gets better) and feed it the ferts I have recommended and those new ferts will make up for the few days lost in nitrogen lockout, I assure you
