are my plants dying?

i have 9 others doing great under the same conditions. what about these three though? i gave them new topsoil, and watered them generously yesterday, and not much perkiness since. i dont think i was overwatering... if anything i was underwater. maybe a pH problem, but im about to put them into the ground, and at that point.. it's do or die. im not gonna fuck with them, but to see if they are still alive and not eaten or found. The top growth looks healthy? What do you think i should do? trim off the lower leaves? and give all the energy to the top growth?

are they dead yet? lol. i think i'll know when their dead. haha. they could be rootbound... but i dont think it would be that drastic. whatever....

I have no idea anymore...

thanx
Eric

Hey dude, is that white widow your growing?? For a start they are definately not dead...yet!! I had the same problem at the beginning of my grow and i think it was because the roots weren't getting enough oxygen due to the soil not draining. When i transplanted them I put some perlite in the soil and bigger drainage holes in the bottom.

Do you have any drainage holes? I can't see from the pics. You may not be overwatering but just dorwning thwe bottom of the roots! Just an idea ...i'm not trained plant doctor!!

all the best

thanx for stoppin by.
first of all, out of curiosity why do you think im growin widow? this is bagseed, and i have no idea they are. yes i have drain holes in the bottom. i even put more in a few weeks ago, cuz i thought there wasnt enough. now there about 8-10 pencil-size holes all around the bottom and corners. im transplanting them into the ground in just a few days... do you think they will survive a few days? and a 2-hour transport in a trunk? I have vermiculite mixed in, just like perlite, holds a lot of O2 and H20.

Alright then process of elimination. You obviously have great drainage soil wise and hole wise. So the monsterous droopiness has to be bound up roots. The middle and left one seem to have a minor nutrient problem. Theres not much soil in those 1/2 gallon containers and your plants seem a couple weeks olds. Transplant now just get more soil and use full gallon jugs just cut evenly. 6-7" of soil easy! Then drive, then transplant, then relax cause its gravy from there no more bounding. I hope you gotta fan on them now! Good luck

grow journal

forgot to add my journal. this page starts about a week and a half before the drooping started. at the end of the page is the drooping with a comparison to the other 9 plants.

I dont think they are terribly rootbound, i dont think a plant responds so drastically when it's rootbound. maybe i'm wrong.
