Rust and Red Eggs

Hi

This is my second grow, first one was fine. This time I have four plants, one of which is suffering from rust on the top leaves round the buds. It seems to be the only plant affected, but it started at least two weeks ago and hasnt gotten any better (duh).
Just today i found a spot of what looks like red eggs on a leaf stem, on another one of my girls. What the hell is this? I was thinking spider mites, as this fits in with the rust symptoms of the other plant, but a little research says spider mite eggs are black.

The girls are 5 weeks into flowering. I dont want to lose em now.

Any help much appreciated.

You got bugs mate. Kill those bastards before they destroy your harvest.

The "eggs" are bright red, and not clear. The plant i found em on is not affected by the rust. Here's a shot of another batch I found off the main stem. The others were on a leaf stem.

I have included some pics, not sure how they will come out on here, can try and get some better ones if these are no good.

If it is mites, how do I go about removing them without damaging the buds? I thought youre not supposed to spray budding plants....

Thanks for the help!

although I cant see the eggs, I can see the white dots of spider mite bites on the leaf behind it

Neem Oil is good untill 2 weeks prior to harvest
spray the plants with neem oil especially the undersides of the leaves and stalks &
again every 3 days for a couple weeks

if your too close to harvest take the plants outside and blast them with a hose daily to keep the bastards under control till harvest

also tie a FABRIC SOFTNER SHEET around the stalk above the bugs to prevent them from moving up to the Colas and wrecking the crop

Shit, I really was hoping it wasn't mites..

Thanks Gueriila, I will get some neem oil tomorrow, and just spray em all down.

Theyve got 4 weeks left, so I guess Ive got a couple of weeks to kill them...

Will this affect my crop taste or anything? Are they gonna completely die off or am I gonna be battling the bastards now forever?

Thanks again mate.

Yu have both spider mite (evident by the white burn marks on the leaf behind on the 2nd pic) but thats definately not a spidermite egg. plus spidermites dont turn the leaf yellow likt that, it does but the entire leaf yellows at the same rate not just how yours are in individual spots.

If you can get your hands on spraysafe you can use that throught the budding process up to harvest... not cheap but also not easy to find in the US

Cheers DierWolf

Those pics are of two different plants. The rusting one is a papaya. Any idea what thats about then? The one with the red thing on is a grapefruit. I also got some misty in there with em that seems unaffected. I so badly wanna save this harvest cos it will be a nice selection for me instead of just all the grapefruit i got. Makes me a lil anxious. Im in the UK, and will ask tomorrow at the grow shop about spraysafe.

All plants got a spray down this afternoon with something similar to Spray Safe - "Pest Off" which you can use right up till harvest. It was difficult to get right under the leaves.
How will I know if theyre totally gone, cos otherwise its gonna be a case of just applying this stuff every week until harvest. And surely if I do that, Im gonna end up with some funny tasting buds, right? Youre not supposed to let this stuff touch your skin so, im thinking not too good for lungs either.

Folks with mite experience- holla!
