Seedlings stopped growing and leaves are falling off!!!

I have two seedlings one of a durban poisonxskunk and another nirvanas white widow
they are both 2 inches tall and have been growing for 3 weeks. I am growing them under sun light for 12 hours then i bring them indoors to a cfl for 6 hours. They are in regular potting soil which i have flushed many times and have checked the ph and it seems that is fine also. Both of the plants had like 4 internodes at 2 inches tall and the bottom leaves (not the cotyldons leavees from the seeds, the first real leaves) became yellow and i plucked them off but they still have many other leaves to keep them going but they havent grown any taller for like a week now and i have them in a half gallon pot so that is fine. Anyone know the problem??? I'll try to get pics up in a few days because i dont have a digi cam im ganna have to borrow my friends.

without seeing the plants, I would say your watering too much, although you never mentioned the watering schedule............

seedlings need no flushing, and you have done so many times....basically your drowning the roots, starving it of oxygen. which would account for the bottom leaves yellowing first.

i think you may be rite since i water like everyday but i always water them with a solution of 10% h202 but ill stop watering for a day or two and see what happens

and after i potted the plants and watered them for the first time the new soil got a little compact because it was wet (is that normal??) im thinking of taking a toothpick and poking holes in the soil to aerate it a little but i think its fine and i might just be over calculating everything

edit: oh ya and thanks ganja guerilla ill see it works

seedlings no help for us, other than lite and a very little water, till 4-5 weeks when they need to be feed 1/4 strength ferts

I personally belive that h202 only be used in emergencies to get oxygen to drowing roots, it definetly kills some of the micro herds (good bacteria) in the soil

ok now there are only two sets of leaves on both of the plants (one set which is turning yellow and is brown and brittle and curled upwards at the tip, and the other set is at the growth tip and are new leaves which are just coming out) well the growth tip set of leaves are really really dark green and the other set are really whitish yellow except for a little bit which is green and the end is brown if thats any help i might be able to get pictures today

edit: i read the stickies and i think its one of these two

Yellowing (Chlorosis) - Chlorosis is a yellowing of leaf tissue due to a lack of chlorophyll. Possible causes of chlorosis include poor drainage, damaged roots, compacted roots (see Root Bound below), high alkalinity, and nutrient deficiencies. Nutrient deficiencies may occur because there is an insufficient amount in the soil or because the nutrients are unavailable due to a high pH. **Note- Always check the pH before increasing nutrient level. In the last few weeks of flowering a yellowing of the leaves is completely normal as the plant uses up all stored nutrients.

Yellowing - Lower/Middle Leaves - Yellowing of the lower leaves/older growth is a sign of a possible Nitrogen (N) deficiency. Nitrogen is a transferable element (this means the plant can move it around as needed). If a plant is not receiving enough Nitrogen from the roots then it will rob Nitrogen from the older growth. Plants that are Nitrogen deficient will exhibit a lack of vigor and grow slowly resulting in a weak and stunted plant that is significantly reduced in quality and yield. In a Hydroponic system, usually the pH is too high and has locked out the available Nitrogen. In soil a yellowing of the lower leaves could also be an indication of a root bound plant (see Root Bound below).

but i think its the one with the lack of drainage because when i water my plants the water stays on the surface like a puddle for like a minute before seeping into the soil

so does anyone know how to make my soil more aerated im using normal potting soil from shoprite for now because i wasnt able to get a ride and get some decent soil but i will be making my own organic mix in a few weeks so how should i aerate the soil??

Do you have any pictures?
Stop watering so much. They should completely dry out between waterings. If you stick your finger a couple of inches deep, in different spots, and the soil still feels wet, don't water it. They should not need water that often. What type of soil are they in?

You did not answer my soil question but I know your soil is the problem because it is fert burning them. Do those cups have holes in the bottom of it?

thanks for the help and
yes i do have holes in the bottom where the water comes out
so should i transplant them into different soil???
its generic indoor potting soil (i said it in the top post)and i didnt add any ferts to it but im ganna go check the bag of soil again if it said anything about ferts

edit: i just checked the bag of the soil i used and all it says is scientifically formulated for indoor plants

but just to be safe i found some scotts soil which has
pernnial ryegrass
fine fescue
kentucky bluegrass
mulch

im ganna flush this soil and mix it with some soil from my backyard which my mom uses for gardening and a little bit from a compost pile

NVM the bag says lawn repair mix would that help?? and the ferts in it are 3-4-1

The soil has 3-4-1? No good, it is burning them. Don't use compost either, that could burn them too.
