Weird growth?

Found it on one of my tops that came from a FIM. What's going on with it?

Yes, it is from the FIM. I believe when you miss that's what comes out.

That's totally normal. It's the scar from your FIM. At the time, that leaf was smaller than a grain of rice and you chopped off a chunk of it. That doesn't stop it from growing out to it's full potential, though.

Think of it like this - if you had lost a finger when you were 2 years old, say, in some freak playground accident... your hand would continue to grow with you, right? All the way to adulthood, you'd have an adult sized hand. Just minus that finger.

Some of the odd shapes a FIM can cause in leaves are really cool - it could make for an unusual photo contest.
