Three leaves instead of five

I'm in the fourth week of veg in my first hydro grow. My plants started out fine, but the new growth is showing wide three leaves on each stem instead of five. Growth is green and rapid, no other visisble problems. Has anyone else experienced this and do you know how to correct it?

I'm at pH 6.25
General Hydro fertilizers, using according to their feeding chart
ppm is at 1000 today
Using a 400w HPS, was about 4" from the tops of the plants, now it's at about 10" above.

there's really no problem with the leaves showing small numbers of fingers. i'd drop that ph to about 5.8 if i was you. 6.25 is a bit high for hydro. i'd lower the light too. unless there's an issue with heat, you can get a 400 pretty close.

Thank you so much! I have a Hanna meter and am having trouble calibrating it so I'm using crappy pH sticks at the moment and some granulate pH down. I will get some other stuff to lower it down though. And yes, I'll lower that light.
