unknown leaf problem

Hi everyone!!! My last grow was a mess, I had a few hermies and the buds are no good to see... they have a certain potency and they taste good, but it look more like a outdoor grow than a HPS grow, lol!
So I decided to change strains, I bought 20 clones(unknown strain) from a friend, I try to do a SOG. It look indica dominant. My light is a 430w sonagro HPS. The intake and the outake is good, i have a carbon scrubber too. The temps are at 90 max with light on. The soil is all purpose garden soil mixed with perlite and vermiculite, the drainage is good. I didnt give any nutes. I tested the run out water after the first watering, the ph is a little high:7, and the ppm was at 300. I transplanted the clones 5 day ago and they were looking ok, I noticed that a few leaves had the tip dry, still green but dry. I was out for 4 days and my friend did not take care of the plants so the soil was real dry when i came home yesterday.
I was shocked to see that there was about half of the plants that were in bad shape, the older leaves have weird gray spots and some leaves are already dead. the new growth is still green and look healthy but.... I'm worried about the overall health of my babies. heres some pictures I took this morning.
Please help diagnose whats the problem

look like they need nitrogen... give them 1/4 dose at next watering

BrazyJay believe he already has a nute burn problem, no need to add to it.

your runoff is 300ppm, imagine what the soil is....

check the nute numbers are on the general purpose soil mix... sounds like another miracle grow type product.

sorry but there is not nute problem, I dont think that at 300 ppm there is a nute overdose, it is not miraclegrow soil, I did that mistake earlier on another grow, lol, haha...
I taught it was grey mold... but I watered them yesterday, i'm gonna give another set of pics in a few days to give an update.
thanks for the comments, but 300ppm looks ok to me....I didnt gave any nutes at all.

thank you SmknVTEC..

General Purpose Mixes are usually JUST LIKE Miricle grow, with time release ferts in them and are
almost 100% of the time fortified with extra NPK & minerals.

Just because the runoff is 300ppm does not mean the soil is 300ppm at the root.

Think of a teabag... the runoff of that in a hot cup of water is slightly bitter, try biting the teabag itself.

Hi! well I tought general purpose garden soil(not general purpose MIX) was normal soil, nothing added... there is no indication of time release ferts on the bags. no NPK numbers... i tought it was plain. I flushed a few pots to see if they get better. I know that the run off is not the exact number but I cant soak the entire pot with the plant to make some dirt just to know how is the ppm doing. I have those Hanna tester that costs a lot, but theyre for hydro.
Are you really sure that this is a nute burn ??? If yes, should I flush all the pots? with how many water?

flushing wount help much as its slow release ferts inside.

A bag with no NPK information on it is just really really shitty brand and god knows whats inside, but for sure nothing good for MJ.

well, what should I do? repot all the plants? the weirdest thing is that I kept one plant in my mother/clone room to keep the strain, it is in the same soil as the others and it look just fine.

there's not a damn thing wrong with using pre-ferted soils (except for the fact that there's plenty better out there) where did this myth start that pre-ferted soils burn plants? as long as the plant is old enough for ferts. pre-ferted soils are fine!!!

Growbot, who the hell is talking about Strong enough plants, were talking about seedlings and fresh unestablished clones here.

Growbot,
It is not a myth that pre ferted MG Soil with time release burns plants. It burned my first two grows and many others' grows as well. Check it out: http://forum.grasscity.com/general-i...ighlight=pgamg

no need to get cocky. seedlings and unestablished clones "can" go into pre-ferted soil. you guys kill me! we have diff. opinions on something. as is life....

Not an oppinion, go grow something in MG from seed and start a journal.. I'll gladly grow the exact same strain for you in regular soil mix to show comparison.
