Nute burn? :/

These plants Ive had for 45 days now are about 18 inches tall.

Ive looked at several websites, went through searches etc, and im poised to believe that ive given it too much nutes. The last watering, i gave it 1 tbsp growbig, 1 tbsp bigbloom and 2 tsp epsom salt. My ph is definetly between 6 and 7 but im using litmus paper so I dont have an exact value for you. I transplanted maybe 10 days ago.

The soil i used initiallyy was foxfarms happy frog.

When i transplanted, i didnt mix any perlite with the foxfarm ocean forest I used.

I cannot say for sure what I should do but at first after the last fertiliizing, the symptoms spread a bit. The light green discoloration I had went away im assuming due to the epsom salt. I havent done anything since and I havent watered for 6 days now. The symptoms havent progressed any further now since the soil is drying out.

Im planning on flushing the soil tomorrow since I wont be around for the weekend, theyll need a good watering anyways...
Any thoughts?

arent these the bottom leaves that were already affected prior to you adding the ferts?

this is more than just nute burn, the same def is still there, and these leaves wont heal, they are dead on the edges already, focus on the new growth, remove that necrotic stuff so you can tell that its infact not progressing

if you over nuted......... the nitrogen would affect the top newest leaves first

The bottom leaves are indeed the same ones that were effected before. Yet now more leaves are showing symptoms, even on some other plants I have. Before it was an isolated problem in my grow but now, more plants are showing the same symptoms. The top 3/4 of the plant are lush and green yet the bottom quarter is where the problems at.

Some of the fan leaves are literally just falling off with a slight pull of the leaf. Should i just get some scissors and cut the necrosis off the leaf or just remove the entire leaf itself?

You think I should just flush it out first and wait? If it is a nute deficiency, the problem should persist right? I think the tap water im getting here is quite soft. Its probably around 6.2 if I were to make a guess. Ph could very well be the problem too. I plan to invest in a digital ph meter. Anyone know what that meters called that measures the parts per million to insure adequate fertilizing?

GG, are u suggesting that its a combination of nute burn and a potassium deficiency?

what do you mean that the nitrogen would effect the top first? Since ive fertilized, they have been growing ALOT faster. But like i previously mentioned, the top 3/4 of my crop are verry green.

Im going to flush the soil tomorrow. Will flushing get rid of all the microbules that are in the new organic soil i transplanted them into?

ok if new plants having same issues here, go ahead and flush 3 times the volume of the container
5 gal pot = 15 gal water

please test the runoff water as you start and when you finish the flush
you relly should get an aquarium PH test kit ($3-4) if you cant afford the digital pen
litmus strips arent close enough

see the issue could be lockout from PH in the soil off

if the PH range is way out keep flushing till it comes within range 6.2-6.8

then add 50% strength ferts ONLY THE ONE FERT THIS TIME (More bloom you had?)
whatever you have thats highest fert values in P & K

also foliar feed both sides of the leaves with this solution once a day till the pots dry out. the foliar feeding will halt this till the roots can uptake again.

keep us posted

IF they were over nuted as you think the nitrogen in the fert would be the first sign of burn in the top of the plant, but since they are not dead and burnt they definetly are not over nuted they like it and are growing.

dont worry about microbes, worry about the job at hand

you neglected to mention you use litmus strips!!!! I have asked about this PH before if you recall and very possibilly have been missing the boat due to inaccurate PH reports ......OK

the exact PH of the runoff is important here if you have potassium being locked out from PH it brings Mg & (P) lockout shortly behind
